Due to Australian Units of Competency being reviewed, the hyper-link from NZQA Drilling Unit Standards, to access the corresponding Australian Unit of Competency, does not currently work. If you require this information , the unit of competency can be found on the SkillsDMC website http://www.skillsdmc.com.au/D-Units-of-Competency/default.aspx
Please contact Gill at EXITO on 03 964 4787 or email gill@exito.org.nz if you require further information.
National Qualifications are made up of Unit Standards. Unit Standards
are the building blocks of any qualification registered on the NZQA
Framework.
Unit Standards are statements of what you are to learn. Each Unit
Standard equals a number of 'Credits'. When you are successful at
achieving a Unit Standard you are awarded the credits for that Unit.
Under a Memorandum of Understanding between Australia and New Zealand,
Drillers in New Zealand now have the ability to utilise the Australian
Units of Competency. To fit with NZQA requirements, NZ cover sheets
have been developed for each Australian Unit of Competency. Each
of the cover sheets, which are on the NZQA framework, have a hyper
link to the Australian Unit of Competency where you will find the
performance criteria and other information about the unit.
